The governments of Canada and Manitoba are opening the second round of program intake for the Canada-Manitoba Job Grant in 2023, which helps businesses meet training and workforce development needs for new and existing employees.
The Canada-Manitoba Job Grant is a joint initiative between both levels of government and provides cost-shared funding support for employers to purchase third-party-delivered training for new and existing employees. Employers are eligible to receive a maximum of $10,000 per employee and $100,000 per training project. Small employers with fewer than 100 employees can apply for up to 75 per cent of eligible training costs, while larger employers can apply for up to 50 per cent of training costs.
The summer intake for the program begins on Aug. 21.
