Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development advises the fall commercial fishing season will be extended on Lake Winnipeg by seven days, until Nov. 6 at 11:59 p.m.
The commercial harvest on Lake Winnipeg is approximately 60 per cent lower than normal for this time of year, largely as a result of market challenges due to COVID-19. Fish processors have been consulted and are supportive of the decision to extend the season.
