New Flyer is seeking a passionate and driven Sustainable Business Development Manager to join our team. Position Goal

As the Sustainable Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to promote sustainable practices throughout the organization. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving initiatives to increase environmental sustainability and social responsibility. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement plans to reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy sources, and enhance the overall sustainability of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess new business opportunities related to sustainable practices and technologies
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote environmental sustainability and social responsibility
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and industry partners
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement plans to reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy sources, and enhance overall sustainability
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in sustainable business
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in sustainable practices and technologies
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainable business development or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of sustainable practices and technologies
  • Proven track record in identifying and developing new business opportunities in the sustainable sector
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and social responsibility
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate a fast-paced and evolving industry
