Your Role

The Sustainability Coordinator will report to the Sustainability Manager and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives across our operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments, monitoring environmental performance, and ensuring compliance with sustainability standards and regulations.

Day to Day

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support internal teams and stakeholders on program requirements and government regulations related to sustainability.
  • Act as a liaison between external stakeholders (such as customers or regulatory agencies) and internal business units to address audit, compliance, or contract requirements.
  • Review and streamline data collection processes to meet multiple program requirements simultaneously, identifying and implementing common standards.
  • Utilize software platforms to develop user-friendly methods for gathering data from external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define reporting and dashboard needs for business intelligence and performance tracking.
  • Monitor program outcomes and provide support based on exception reporting and ongoing performance assessments.
  • Assist with program audits, including scheduling, facilitating, and producing audit reports.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and manage the retention of compliance and regulatory reports.
  • Organize and deliver sustainability education sessions for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Learning and Development team in developing online or in-person training curricula.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Customer / Vendor relationship management experience
  • Experience in developing report and dashboard requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Sustainability experience in Agricultural Industry considered an asset
