As the Government of Manitoba continues to implement its Made-in-Manitoba Climate and Green Plan, they are seeking new initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and divert organic waste from the landfill. As part of this work, they are inviting potential service providers with bold ideas for diverting industrial, commercial, and/or institutional (ICI) organic waste from Manitoba landfills to take part in an information session and consider submitting an application for Manitoba’s first ever Green Bond.
Green Bonds are a new way of funding services that include collaboration between government, investors, an evaluator, and a service provider to ultimately find an innovative solution to Manitoba’s environmental issues.
Project length: 2 years
Start date: Must begin in 2021
Potential Funding available: Up to $500,000 per year
Interested parties are encouraged to learn more at an information session and submit an application. This information session will guide you through the application process and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
