Are you a small or medium sized business looking to reduce your carbon footprint but don’t know where to start? Transform your business into an eco-friendly powerhouse and discover the secrets to greening up your business.

Day one: Discover how every action, big or small, shapes our GHG footprint and influences global sustainability efforts.

At the end of this one-day workshop, participants will:
– be familiar with what Greenhouse Gases are and their relationship to climate and weather;
– appreciate how we know that climates are changing and what the impacts are likely to be;
– be familiar with how individual and organizational actions affect the amount of greenhouse gases emitted;
– be able to identify actions that lead to a reduction in personal and organizational greenhouses gases emitted;
– appreciate what governments are doing to address the climate crisis;
– create at least one significant action as an individual to reduce their carbon footprint;
– create one significant action with a wider group of people to reduce the organizational carbon footprint.

Day two: Craft an actionable plan to reduce the carbon footprint within your organization using what you learned on day one.

At the end of this one-day workshop participants will:
– consider organizational drivers for greenhouse gas management;
– identify potential co-benefits associated with greenhouse gas reductions;
– identify sources of emissions within their organization;
– identify organizational sources of data;
– be familiar with the WRI Protocol Scope definitions for greenhouse gas emissions;
– be able to compile a Scoped inventory of greenhouse gases;
– be familiar with options for measuring greenhouse gases in the organizational inventory;
– be able to employ a framework to develop greenhouse gas reduction strategies
– be familiar with how to prioritize greenhouse gas reduction strategies;
– identify organizational communications channels to engage the workforce;
– be familiar with Net Zero and Science Based Targets
– consider how to embed a de-carbon culture within their own organization

Following time with a BC Crown Corporation as their Sustainability Specialist, managing their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting and reduction initiatives, Mark was more recently found delivering GHG management training to businesses using the Climate Smart process.
