The Manitoba Environmental Industries (MEIA) is dedicated to supporting the natural resources, energy and environmental sectors in Manitoba through education, awareness, and engagement. Our annual Emerging Issues conference brings together environmental managers and consultants, legal professionals, academia, government, industry, and other stakeholders to discuss the new developments in climate change, waste diversion, sustainable energy and cleantech opportunities in Manitoba.
Featuring Keynote Speaker Linda Coady, Executive Director of the Pembina Institute, this year’s conference will focus on pathways to a net-zero future, focusing on the following topics:
- Environmental Social Governance
- Economic and Environmental Recovery
- Indigenous Pathways to Sustainability
- The Next Generation: Students in Environmental Studies
- Local Examples of Net-Zero and Carbon Greenhouse Gas Awareness
