Job Description:
The Production Geologist will be crucial in overseeing the supply and quality of ore to our processing facilities. This role involves rigorous assessment and quality control to maintain and enhance our production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage ore quality from extraction through delivery to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with mine operations to optimize ore extraction and processing techniques.
- Conduct regular sampling and analysis to evaluate ore quality and determine necessary adjustments in mining operations.
- Work closely with processing plant managers to understand material requirements and adjust supply based on plant needs.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for ongoing mineral production.
- Prepare and present regular reports on ore quality and production efficiency to management and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in mineral processing technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a geology role with a focus on mining operations and mineral processing.
- Strong understanding of the geological characteristics of spodumene, cesium, and tantalum.
- Proficient in using data analysis and geological modeling tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with experience working closely with production teams.
