Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dayto-day functions of the operations department. The Supervisor also ensures key performance indicators and targets are achieved.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1 Safety and Regulatory Compliance a. Ensure environmental, regulatory and safety & health (S&H) adherence as it pertains to regulations, licencing, policies, permits etc. b. Active participation in S&H initiatives including training personnel in accordance with Miller’s Safety Manual. c. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data collection and reporting to Senior Management.
2 Processing Efficiency a. Planning, scheduling and supervision of work activities. b. Inventory management including inbound/outbound waste movements. c. Ensuring proper operation and management of equipment and tools. d. Housekeeping including reporting resource and maintenance requirements.
3 Documentation, training and record keeping a. Creation and maintenance of procedures and work instructions for various processes while working in consultation with Management. b. Training of personnel to various work instructions. c. Scheduling and record keeping of training.
4 Leadership a. Development of team members through mentorship. b. Demonstrate leadership through example.
c. Maintenance of communication between technicians and management.
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma.
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Leadership training an asset.

This position may require overtime and weekend work. This position will also require some work outdoors as well as assignment to an alternate location including participation on our Spill Response Team. Must be able to properly manage high-activity levels while problem solving to deal with unexpected issues.
