Interested in an opportunity for funding to collaborate on research and development with Israeli companies and organizations? Check out the invitation to an information session below:
Manitoba Trade and Investment will be hosting an information session with the Canada Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation (CIIRDF) on Thursday, August 24, 2017 to inform Manitoba companies of the opportunity to work with Israeli partners and access money available through the Foundation to fund research and development projects.
The information session will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the offices of Manitoba Trade and Investment, 1100 – 259 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Under the CIIRDF program, Canada-Israel company partners have the opportunity to receive funding to cover research and development costs of technology-based products and processes that have a reasonable potential for commercial success.
CIIRDF will be launching a new round of Call for Proposals (CFP) for bilateral R&D projects in late summer. Leveraging support from the Governments of Canada and Israel, this CFP aims to stimulate R&D collaboration between firms in both countries with a focus on the commercialization of new technologies.
This CFP invites a joint application from Canadian for-profit companies that are registered and operate in Canada; and Israeli for-profit companies that are registered and operate in Israel. Eligible R&D projects are technology adaptation, technology validation, and technology co-development projects in all technology sectors (non-defence application). Special consideration will be given to projects in the following sectors:
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Life Sciences
- Clean Technologies and Sustainable technologies (including water, renewables), plus limited Energy (oil and gas)
- Agriculture and Agri-food (including technologies)
Please reply by return email (email@example.com) by Monday, August 21, 2017 to confirm your attendance at this information session.
