CORE Renewable Energy won last week’s Green Dragons' Lair competition at the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association Emerging Issues 2015 conference.
CORE Renewable Energy has created a modeling software program that uses renewable energy planning tools for power projects to reach maximum renewable generation at the least cost while maintaining no black outs in energy supply.
Green Dragons' Lair featured innovative new companies and ideas that are helping move Manitoba toward a sustainable future. The Lair offers select local Manitoba entrepreneurs and innovators the opportunity to pitch their product. More than 75 environmental businesses, government and other stakeholders heard pitches by contestants with unique environmental start ups.
CORE Renewable Energy provides renewable energy planning tools and operation management optimization for power projects, incorporating combined renewable energy systems such as wind, solar, biomass; small to large scale storage solutions including batteries, compressed air, fuel cells and backup diesel generators. The company has technology solutions that optimize the performance of the systems that they design or already exist, so that user can reach maximum renewable generation at the least cost while maintaining no black outs in energy supply. Dr. Andrea Kraj, is a practicing professional engineer and pioneering leader in developing sophisticated computer modeling and simulation of advanced energy systems, supporting optimization of design and operation of multi-renewable energy systems for distributed generation.
Other contestants included Crik Nutrition, Reliable Tire Recycling, Step-UP Waste Management Solutions, SunDial Building Performance, and The Wall 440 mug.
